Finding us within York
From York Train Station
The Museum is only a few minutes walk from York station and the route is signposted. Turn left outside the front of the station, pass the Royal York Hotel then turn left into Leeman Road. Continue through the tunnel and the Museum is straight ahead.
There is also a direct route to the Museum via the station footbridge (not suitable for the disabled or pushchairs).
From the City Centre on the Road Train
For a quick, convenient route from the city centre why not catch our Road Train straight to the Museum's door from Duncombe Place (next to York Minster). Trips leave the Museum on the hour and half hour from 11.00 to 16.00 and depart from Duncombe Place every 30mins from 11.15 to 16.15.

Finding us from outside York
By train
York is less than two hours from London Kings Cross station and just over two hours from Edinburgh. Regular services link York with Manchester Airport and direct services run from many other UK towns and cities.
Park and ride
The Rawcliffe Park and Ride bus picks up and drops off just outside the Museum. For further information please visit First Group Park and Ride.
By car
The Museum is clearly signposted from all approaches to the city. Please park in the visitor car park on Leeman Road. Parking costs £7 per day.
Free disabled car parking spaces are available at the City Entrance in front of Station Hall.
