Press OfficeSky High Sponsorship Opportunities for Yorkshire WheelThe sky’s the limit for business opportunities in York as the National Railway Museum launches its search for new sponsors of the Yorkshire Wheel. The Wheel, which has become an iconic symbol of the York skyline, was sponsored during the first year by Norwich Union, who are now exploring future community-based links with the Museum. Visitor numbers at the NRM have risen to over 900,000 since the Yorkshire Wheel opened in April 2006, with thousands more admiring the amazing 60 metre structure from afar. “We are extremely grateful to Norwich Union for their enthusiastic support of what was a very new venture for the National Railway Museum. We have thoroughly enjoyed working in partnership with them and we hope to continue that relationship through our programme of community-based activities,” said Judith Whitaker, Head of Commercial Development at the NRM. “The Yorkshire Wheel offers companies a unique and unrivalled opportunity not only to profile their business, but also to invest in the future of the most popular museum outside London.” 18 April 2007 |
