Spot the Easter Egg on the York Skyline

There is a cracking opportunity to make a ride on the Norwich Union Yorkshire Wheel eggstra special this Easter (31 March - 15 April).

Visitors to the Yorkshire Wheel, based at the National Railway Museum, are being challenged to spot a picture of a giant Easter egg hidden somewhere on the rooftops of York.

All they have to do is watch out for the egg on the skyline as they enjoy spectacular views of the city and then mark its location on a photograph provided.

The first correct entry out of the hat will win a luxury giant Easter egg, handmade by Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate, plus a return ride in the Wheel’s special VIP pod. There are also 20 runner-up prizes of seasonal chocolate treats.

Other Easter activities at the NRM include a daily Easter prize trail around the Museum and children’s craft activities on board Play Train.

“The Norwich Union Yorkshire Wheel offers fantastic views of the city and its surrounding area, but this will give visitors something new and different to look out for over the holiday period”

said Judith Whitaker, Head of Commercial Development at the NRM.
