During our Royal Carriages Tour you will receive a dedicated welcome from a leading curator at the National Railway Museum and the opportunity to climb onboard three of the most famous Royal saloons in the collection: King Edward, Queen Mary and, most notably, Queen Victoria’s opulent 'Palace on Wheels'.

Included in the price is post-tour afternoon tea on the Countess of York where you’ll enjoy delicious finger sandwiches, cakes and pastries in the lavishly decorated, Edwardian-style dining car.

To reserve your place, please book online or call 0844 815 3139.

Terms and conditions:

Participants must be aged 18+ and be able to climb onboard the carriages. Unfortunately, due to the age and design of the vehicles we are unable to provide wheelchair access. Participants should avoid wearing high heels and loose clothing, especially with zips, that can catch on furniture. Please don’t take bags, food or drink onboard the carriages.

If you have any special dietary requirements for afternoon tea, please contact us via email (nrm@nrm.org.uk) by Wednesday 16 May 2018 so that we can make sure everything is prepared for your visit.
