Title: GWR motor service, November 1904

Date: Undated

Description: A group of GWR employees around an early motor service veihicle which ran between Bridgnorth and Wolverhampton. This image was reproduced from the LWR Magazine, August 1944 edition, and had the caption: The Clarkson steam-propelled omnibus which opened the Company's Wolverhampton-Bridgnorth road service on November 7, 1904. Three such vehicles were bought, but difficulty in finding really experienced men to drive and maintain them eventually led to the trio of Clarksons being sold.
