Flying Scotsman
A beacon of modern achievement, Flying Scotsman represents a Golden Age in British design and engineering. Evoking nostalgia for the glamour, elegance and romance of a bygone age of steam travel, Flying Scotsman was the first steam locomotive to travel non-stop from London to Edinburgh and the first to achieve an authenticated 100mph. A locomotive that won the hearts of the nation, Flying Scotsman was acquired by the National Railway Museum, York in 2004 and now forms part of the National Collection.
Brand Strengths
An exciting licensing programme which has already penetrated the UK high street as well as making serious inroads into the collectors market.
Timeless appeal – the locomotive itself is one of the world’s best known and best loved. Now approaching 100, Flying Scotsman is soon due to go back on the mainline to delight yet another generation.
A brand of two parts – be inspired by the luxury and romance of an era of Art Deco elegance or choose the strength and industrial might of the locomotive itself.
