2 - 10 June 2012: Railfest 2012

Flying Scotsman will be appearing at Britain's biggest rail celebration: 9 exhilarating days of amazing activities for all ages, a grand gathering of over 30 record breaking locomotives from the past and present. More about Railfest 2012

20 June 2012: Olympic Torch Relay

Flying Scotsman will be taking part in the journey of the 2012 Olympic torch. The Olympic flame will stay in York overnight on 19 June, then Flying Scotsman will carry it from York to Thirsk on 20 June. We'll have more details soon. In the meantime, the BBC has more about Olympic torch relay route

We are currently putting together proposals for the locomotive’s first season in operation and speaking to a number of operating partners. Plans will be announced as they are finalised.
