Company: British Railways
Title: Inter-City 125
Date: 1977
Description: British Rail introduced a new generation of high-speed diesel trains which reduced journey times on most of the inter-city routes. They were promoted as the 'Inter-City 125' trains because their maximum operating speed was 125 mph. The advertisers made considerable use of the sleek appearance of these trains which was emphasised by the design treatment of their external paintwork including the distinctive double arrow logo.
