The Yorkshire WheelEnjoy stunning bird’s-eye views over the city of York and surrounding countryside on our gigantic observation wheel - the biggest in Yorkshire! You’ll gain unrivalled views over the city, including the famous York Minster and the river Ouse, as you soar 60 metres into the sky. There’s plenty of time to take in the scenery and take photographs on the ride - which lasts for 13 minutes and will take you round 3 times. The comfortable pods are air-conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter. Each pod hold up to 8 people (maximum 6 adults and 2 children) and the ride is great value for money at only £6 for adults and £4 for children (aged 4-12). Why not taste the high-life in our luxury VIP pod (maximum 4 adults)? You can even enjoy a glass of champagne as you ride!

GroupsRiding the Yorkshire Wheel is great fun for groups of all sizes! We offer a special discount rate of £5.50 per adult and £3.50 per child (4-12 years) for groups of 20+ and FREE coach parking. Getting here and disabled accessThe Yorkshire Wheel is located in the grounds of the National Railway Museum - just a few minutes from York city centre. Visit our how to get here page. The Yorkshire Wheel is also accessible to disabled people. Wheelchair users are welcome on the Yorkshire Wheel. Two of our pods are accessible by wheelchair users. The door width is 74cm. Standard wheelchairs are available on site. When a pod is occupied by a wheelchair user there must be a non-wheelchair user present to enable access to the emergency button.
