See Peppercorn Class A1 Pacific No. 60163 Tornado in light steam and - for a small additional charge - access the locomotive's cab.

Plus you'll be able to see another Peppercorn-designed locomotive in light steam, as the North Eastern Locomotive Preservation Group's K1 class locomotive 62005 Lord of the Isles will be on display.

In addition, Furness Railway No. 20 and NELPG's J72 class locomotive 69023 Joem will be running a passenger steam train service (a small additional charge applies for tickets).

Furness Railway No. 20, built in 1863, is the oldest working standard gauge steam locomotive in the UK and a remarkable survivor from a bygone era. NELPG's J72 class locomotive 69023 Joem was built in Darlington and has recently been restored by a dedicated team of volunteers, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

There's an exciting programme of special events to celebrate Tornado's arrival at Locomotion. More about Tornado at Locomotion
