Relax in our licensed restaurant and café.
Brief Encounters, our licensed restaurant in Station Hall, serves everything from hot meals to light snacks. Signal Box café in the Great Hall serves a range of delicious sandwiches, wraps, cakes, pastries and freshly brewed coffee. We also have a barbecue open seasonally.
2 - 10 June: Brief Encounters will open late at 12.30pm due to Railfest.

We are passionate about serving the finest quality food and drink and some great seasonal produce, Yorkshire, British and organic wherever possible. All our tea and coffee is organic, Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance certified.
We are also members of Deliciously Yorkshire.
- Yorkshire sausages with a red onion gravy and herb mash - £7.95
- Beef, Guinness and mushroom casserole served with seasonal vegetables and potatoes - £7.95

- Children’s Munchkin bags. Pick five individually wrapped items from the following – choice of sandwiches, fruit, chocolate muffin, cheese, jelly, Hula Hoop crisps, cucumber sticks, raisins and sultanas and Capri Sun juice - £4.15

Cakes and pastries
Our cakes and pastries are house-baked daily for both the Signal Box Café and the Station Hall Restaurant. Of the freshly-made products, the personal favourite of our Head Baker is carrot, orange and poppy seed cake.
