Our Platform Seven Café is open daily, and serves a range of snacks, light lunches and refreshments.
Youngsters will love our outdoor play area. Enjoy a packed lunch at our indoor and outdoor picnic tables.
There’s something for everyone in our gift shop, which offers a wide range of souvenirs and gifts. For railway enthusiasts, there’s a comprehensive selection of videos and books. Younger visitors will enjoy browsing through our wide range of Thomas the Tank Engine merchandise, including Take Along Thomas trains, playsets and accessories. Free parking spaces are available at a designated car park beside the Welcome building. Free car parking on site.
The Museum is fully wheelchair accessible, however it is a partially open-air site and occasionally it may be necessary to use outdoor footpaths up to 1km in length in order to access all of our buildings. Usually we are able to provide a wheelchair accessible bus service: please ring in advance on 01388 777999 to check that the bus will be running when you visit.
Wheelchairs are available to hire. To avoid disappointment we recommend you book in advance on 01388 777999.
Emergency exits use symbols to aid reading by the visually impaired. Wheelchair-accessible toilet facilities in all areas are equipped with handrails and emergency cords.
