This exhibition includes a range of personal narratives centred on the people intimately linked with the route, service and locomotive – including owners, admirers, passengers and crew. An array of associated objects are on display, many of which have not been seen by the public before.
The Flying Scotsman was saved by the nation in 2004, is a star icon of the National Collection, and is currently being restored to make her fit to return to main line operations in 2011. However, crucial restoration work still needs to be attempted – and we hope you can help!
