Weddings
The journey into marriage is the most important one you will ever make and the events team here at the NRM will pull out all the stops to ensure it as smooth as possible. Every wedding at this unique venue can be individually tailored to meet your needs, with support and advice every step of the way.
Whichever format you choose in our stunning range of galleries, you can be sure that we're dedicated to creating a special day for you -- and it is always foremost in our minds that it is your special day.
Civil ceremonies
The museum holds a civil ceremony licence, allowing you to hold your wedding ceremony within the spectacular surroundings of the Museum with up to 200 guests.
A number of special venues are available within the Museum for the wedding ceremony – the most popular being alongside Queen Victoria’s carriage in the Royal Gallery.
Receptions
Precise and careful planning with the events team will ensure a perfect day. We have a selection of wedding packages which can be tailored to suit your needs – and we're happy to recommend many additional services.
There are various areas in the Museum that are ideal for photographs: for example, the magnificent setting at Euston Gates in the Great Hall enables guests to gather for drinks and possibly canapés, whatever the weather.
Your wedding guests can dine on the stunning central platform of Station Hall among the carriages and locomotives set against an Edwardian era backdrop.
Receptions are available for up to 500 guests.
Private events
Wow your family and friends and celebrate in style by holding your next special party at the world’s largest Railway Museum. Bespoke packages can be devised for birthdays, anniversaries, retirements or going-away parties.
From intimate dinners and receptions aboard our luxurious Pullman-style train Valiant, to large-scale parties in our award-winning galleries, the NRM is the ultimate event for your next special occasion.
