Car Park Entrance
Situated off Leeman Road, this is the main entrance for corporate events and staff, and leads directly into the Great Hall.

Great Hall
Rub shoulders with railway legends, history-makers and record-breakers. The Great Hall is home to some of the greatest icons in our collection including Mallard, Duchess of Hamilton, the Japanese bullet train and a replica of Stephenson’s Rocket.
Warehouse
Explore this fascinating Aladdin's cave packed with thousands of railway treasures in open storage. Don’t miss The Flying Scotsman Story, an exhibition capturing the history of this world famous train.
The Works
Watch live engineering work in progress and see how our engines are maintained. Check out the latest conservation work on Flying Scotsman or track train movements in and out of York Station at the Integrated Electronic Control Centre (IECC).
City Entrance
The main entrance to the Museum, just a short walk from York Railway Station. This is also the pick-up and drop-off point for our Road Train.
Station Hall
Experience the heyday of the railways, from the opulence of royal travel to the holiday boom of the last century. Look inside the carriages – and enjoy a delicious meal in our restaurant surrounded by trains from a bygone era.

South Yard
