- There are multiple items of Flying Scotsman merchandise totalling to £100. This is offered as a single prize.

Terms and Conditions – Best dressed wizard competition
- There is a single prize of 1 x magic class for one person with the Magic Hatter, an owl experience for one person at Falconry UK and 1 x hamper of wizard goodies.
- A mutually convenient time and date for the winner and the Magic Hatter will be arranged. The magic class will take place at the National Railway Museum.
- The minimum age to take part in the owl experience is 8. If the winner is under 8 years old the winner will be able to take part in one hour of handling and flying with some of our smaller owls. The full Owl experience uses large heavy owls that small children may find difficult to handle. The winner will also receive a family ticket so that family members (up to 2 adults and 2 children) can attend at no cost. Owl experience must be pre-booked.
- The owl experience starts at 10.30 when you meet, handle and fly a selection of different owls at the centre. The falconry staff will be on hand to ensure you have an enjoyable and special experience. A break for refreshments is included. The experience finishes in time for the 1.30pm display which you are welcome to stay and watch, you can then tour the centre at you leisure.
- To enter this competition, visitors must photograph themselves dressed as a wizard at the National Railway Museum’s Wizard Week (11 -19 February 2012) and upload these via our facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/nationalrailwaymuseum?sk=wall) or email them to competitions@nrm.org.uk. Competition entries which tag the National Railway Museum will also be accepted.
- The closing date is midnight on 20 February 2012. All photographs received before this point will be populated in our facebook album before being judged. Late or unsuitable entries will be disqualified. The National Railway Museum cannot take any responsibility for any technical failure which may result in your entries being lost or published.
- Week commencing 20th February 2012, our winner will be announced via the National Railway Museum website, our competition facebook page and various social media channels.
- The winning entry will be selected by an independent panel of National Railway Museum staff plus a special guest judge from the world of magic. The judges' decision will be final.
- The winner will be contacted by a member of staff from the National Railway Museum Marketing Team after the competition has closed. The winner will be contacted via facebook or email (if this was the chosen method of entry).
- Photographs must be original images and not edited in any way.
- Entries will only be accepted by those who have dressed as a wizard (please note, for the purposes of this competition a wizard can be male or female).
- Entries will be judged on costume. Our winner will be deemed 'the best dressed wizard'.
- We will accept a maximum of three photographs per person only. If entrants submit more than three photographs, only the first three photos received will be judged and all others will be disregarded.
- Group photographs can be submitted. Each person in the photograph will be treated as an individual entry.
- The competition is open to all age groups.
- If the winner is under the age of 18, they must be accompanied by an adult when taking the prize. Please note the prize can not be taken during Wizard Week, a suitable time for the prize to be taken by the winner, will be arranged.
- All entrants must be willing to take part in promotional activity and you may be required to recreate your outfit for press purposes.
- If the winner is unable to accept the prize, then the prize will be offered to an alternative entry, also favoured by the judges. If an entrant is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made to do so, or is found to be in breach of the rules, the National Railway Museum reserves the right to offer the prize to the next best entrant. Unsuccessful entrants will not be contacted.
- After 29 February, all pictures may be removed without prior notice. Please ensure you have kept copies of your personal photographs before submitting them.
- By submitting an image to this competition via facebook or email, you are consenting to it being displayed on our facebook page, website and other promotional channels. If you are submitting entries for children, your child will not be named unless previously agreed or stated by the entrant.
- Your photograph will be added to our 'wizard hall of fame' by a member of the National Railway Museum team. Keep checking our facebook page throughout the week to see your picture.
- As this competition is being hosted on facebook, all images received by facebook/email will be uploaded to our facebook album in order to be entered into the competition.
