'Teesdale Tracks and Derailing Dukes' by Chris Lloyd

The Friends of the National Railway Museum (North East Branch) are holding a talk on Saturday February 4, 2012. The talk, which starts at 11.30am, will take place in the Education Room (Collection Building) at Locomotion: The National Railway Museum at Shildon.

The speaker for the meeting is Chris Lloyd and the topic is 'Teesdale Tracks and Derailing Dukes'. The talk will explore how the railways came into Teesdale following a 20 year battle with the local landowner and some very strange goings on which resulted in some of the most extraordinary viaducts anywhere in the world.
